So I was watching top 10 lists on YouTube and they gave their top 10 greatest grunge bands. Now I'm not delusional enough to actually think there are 10 great grunge bands to begin with but there are 5 and I thought the order was more or less pretty good.

This is what they had for their top 5 and I think I agree if the emphasis is on grunge. If we are just ranking these 5 based on which of them is best I believe I'd flip Alice In Chains and Soungarden.

5. Stone Temple Pilots
4. Soundgarden
3. Pearl Jam
2. Alice In Chains
1. Nirvana

Having said that, I'd rather listen to Papa Roach than GG Allin

I could take or leave all grunge music. I don't hate it, but I have never once tried to seek it out.

Nirvana.
Alice in Chains is pretty cool too. I heard Screaming Trees is good but I've never heard them. Can't stand most grunge though.

kinda weird how the earth continues to spin on its axis and everything eventually dies even when you don't want it to dang

You know Jer, I thought I would get more support from someone else over 30. You never owned a Soundgarden shirt? Weren't into Alice In Chains?

Here's the most grungiest video in the history of grunge and a tribute to the great Chris Cornell. He had one of the best voices in rock history.

I will say that any grunge recorded after 1996 is terrible and do not approve of bands who derive their sound from pre '96

Uncle

I like some of the newer bands too.Violent Soho's "Hungry Ghost" and Basement's "Colourmeinkindness" are both good "grunge revival" albums.
