i thought in general no one liked the decline? i'm out of touch. Punk in Drublic is obviously the best.
I though it was viewed as a classic but I'm out of touch, too. 3) So Long.. 4) Heavy Petting Zoo 5) Coaster
I'm not counting the Decline since it's just one song. Coaster is the surprise on the list but I enjoy it more than Ribbed

I was thinking of best Screeching Weasel albums. 1) My Brain Hurts 2) Anthem for a New Tomorrow 3) Boogada Boogada Boogada 4) Wiggle 5) Television City Dream tied with Emo. I couldn't leave Emo off after giving it a quick listen. Even though it's not as catchy, the lyrics are better than TCD.

speaking of NOFX, is anyone else a Decline fan? any does anyone wanna list their top 5 NOFX albums if you dig em?

1) Punk in Drublic
2) So long and thanks for the Shoes
3) White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean
4) Ripped
5) Pump up the Valuum

---------------------

i've also been really into Thee Temple Ov Pyschik Youth which was founded by Genesis P-Orridge of Throbbing Gristle which was an extremely interesting and inspiration esoteric and occult movement in the UK.. anyhow it's not about that, it's about the band's that were connected with it and the brilliant music they produced (well i find it brilliant. it might just be absurd noise to you but listen to it and it will force it's way into your subconscious and then there's no escaping it once you've been intellectually inseminated..

I used to be a huge NOFX fan but have cooled on them as I've gotten older. I believe even those who aren't really feeling NOFX like the Decline. I'll have to think about my top 5 but 1 and 2 are definitely 1. Punk in Drublic and 2. White Trash...

I am really enjoying the new season of Better Call Saul. If this season keeps going on the same track, it will be the best one yet in my opinion. I don't really have a desire to rewatch old episodes unlike Breaking Bad which I could watch any day. There are certain shows that I like to rewatch and some I don't. As great is the Wire was, I never went back and rewatched episodes.

they're playing Riot Fest, but nothing else has been announced.
Dang just looked at the line-up for this year's RF. That's quite the list of heavy hitters.
I wish I was a young man and I'd go though it's weird because the main attractions would be more exciting for people around my age.

NOFX's covers are stronger than Rancid's in my opinion with Corazon de Oro being the best.

isn't it extremely difficult to diagnosis someone with a personality disorder? i know mental illness in general is hard because it's not like you can do an X-ray and see it right there but for some reason i thought i heard or read somewhere about that one being particularily tricky.
It is tricky because the client always presents with a lot of symptoms that make me want to go through the rolodex in my head of potential disorders. There are generally comorbid disorders and often the emphasis is on treating the symptoms associated with those disorders initially until it becomes apparent that something else is going on. Personality disorders are interesting because they're not like anxiety or mood disorders. It's something bigger in that it is describing their overall personality type. While everyone is different, there are some folks who have these constellation of personality traits that combine to form what are known as personality disorders. The most common that I see is borderline personality disorder. I've had a few with anti-social personality disorder but they almost never seek treatment on their own and often drop out after a few sessions or when their court ordered sessions are up.

I don't hardly ever get to read for pleasure. I was reading The Expectant Father which is a book I got for Christmas but now I'm reading Cognitive Behavioral Treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. It's interesting but I'm trying to get some ideas for a client who has BPD. Fun stuff. Clients with personality disorders usually give me this very uneasy feeling but this person is one of the few who do not.

for better or worse my vernacular, or jargaon if you will, hasn't changed much over the course of time. I still use "mad" and like referring to things as "ruthless" or "brutal".

keepin it a 100, real talk, facts.. they all remain in heavy rotation in areas i find myself frequenting.

is there any novel, refreshing ways to reference a vagina? i'm just curious. "box" has gotten a bit dry, no pun intended.
My cousin used to call it a "pockey" when she was little. I had a friend who used the term "crevis" when talking about vagina.

disappointed that Jawbreaker isn't reuniting after reading thread title. I don't know why they wouldn't to just tour occasionally. They seem to all be friends. Do they not like easy money?
But they are reuniting, they're just not making new music

I'm a big fan of "Do your Googles!" when telling people to learn some shit about shit.  I look forward to the day when it is popular to be sick of it.
I've never heard such a thing.

It seems to me that "real talk" evolved or changed to "100" or "keepin' it 100". I live in a very rural area so I don't hear a lot of current slang. I hear kids saying "legit" a lot which is kind of annoying but also kind of funny because it makes me feel like if I played Too Legit to Quit by MC Hammer, it would sound somewhat contemporary
legit started in like 2007. it stopped being a slang word and just became a regular part of everyone's vocabulary. Like what happened with
OK in the 1830's
I prefer my legits to stay in MC Hammer lyrics, thank you very much. I even remember the band signs that go with it. Too legit to quit for life. I believe that was my first CD, though Kris Kross may have been my first CD. It was back when CDs came in a really long absurd box.

Jawbreaker and NIN at the same fest... someone found my high school playlist
Time to dust off the Halos and head out! If they could get Rage Against the Machine to reunite and come I would sell my soul to go to that show. That would be my high school playlist come to life minus Nirvana and Green Day and I don't care to see Green Day anymore. I caught them right before they jumped the shark.

Screeching Weasel's catalogue is finally on Apple Music so this morning has been devoted to listening to My Brian Hurts and Anthem for a New Tomorrow. Ben Weasel may be a garbage human being but damn it if he didn't make some of the best punk music ever. I think it's interesting having heard him talk politics and then listen to songs like Racist Society. It doesn't seem like the same person.

I can't even imagine associating with people that say "cuck" let alone hearing it enough to be tired of it instead of just outraged

i am legit tired of "yas queen" it's been beat to death by regulars

I have never heard a person say "cuck" in real life but see it in comments sections to videos I watch regularly. What does "yas queen" mean? I've never heard it before.

yeah that song is awesome. i didn't mean to imply that song sucks. just saying something is "lit" .. i wonder what happened to LIT.

I don't know but all this talk about being lit made me think of this stinker that I did used to listen to back when I thought singing about doing coke was awesome. I also thought doing cocaine was a lot of fun but I didn't like the neighborhoods I had to go to in order to get it and it was expensive. Sometimes I wonder what the hell was wrong with me.

She's good. She's due on July 1st. Everything looks good so far. There were some cysts on the brain at one ultrasound but they said that it's nothing to worry about and they weren't there on the next ultrasound. All blood work and tests are normal. I'm very nervous that something will go wrong but I don't say that out loud. I'm just neurotic. We have a lot of baby stuff and her shower is in May when hopefully we can get some of the last things we need. They have some badass baby monitors nowadays and I'm going to have to get one where I can watch her through an app on my cellphone when I'm at work. Thanks for asking and for the name! I will tell her that she was named by a nice person on a small message board that some of us will still hopefully post on when she's old enough to understand and say "hi".

these are all new to me. the kids these days and there wacky jargon.

what is this "cuck" and "woke"? can someone use them in a sentence?

but yeah, "lit" sucks. makes me think of this..
A cuck comes from the word "cuckhold" which is a man who has been cheated on I believe but is most often used to describe porn where a man watches someone else have sex with their wife and enjoys it. The word "cuck" began being used sometime during the past 2 years or so to describe weak men who don't support Trump (started as being more directed at Republicans who didn't support Trump but is now just used in the same way "bitch" and "pussy" are used as an insult towards men).

Woke has already been discussed in this thread. I can't properly use it in a sentence.

It's true! I think Becca and I like a lot of music most people hate but YOU guys are the ones who don't know good music. You're just not woke like we are.

If we're going to talk underrated funny movies I'll go Brain Candy, Run Ronnie Run, The Night Before, Freddy Got Fingered, and Dirty Work. I was going to say Team America: World Police but I think it's well liked.

I was watching movies with my wife today and got to thinking about which 5 movies I think are the funniest. It is really hard for me to come up with a list without second guessing myself. I can't order them but off the top of my head here are 5 in no particular order: Blazing Saddles, Tropic Thunder, Walk Hard, Anchorman, and Borat. It's so subjective and I'm curious what others will say.

Since I am not part of the LGBTQ community and further more since I am a whit male, in general my opinion comes from a level of privilege, but some of the best comedy, to me at least pushes the envelope of being offensive in nature. Like my previous statement implies, this may be because little if anything actually offends me. With that being said, I try to look for the intent behind the words. I could write more, but I feel like I may put my foot in my mouth if I do.
I think the intent behind the trans stuff was hateful and regressive though. I also had a problem with all the weird rape jokes.

I enjoyed the standup well enough until the Bill Cosby/trans stuff took over. Though I also think the jokes were really lazy in general compared to his older standup.
Good points. It made me cringe a bit but was not as affected. Since I am such a big fan, I want to give him a pass so I know I'm biased and may be brushing it aside more than I should. I agree that he did seem lazy especially with the "gay super hero" bit. That is maybe the biggest the example that sticks in my mind of him making a joke that wasn't funny and just a tired stereotype. For some reason I wasn't as bothered by the Bill Cosby stuff because I think I understand where he's coming from with most of it. I would have liked him to be harsher on Cosby if he's going to talk about the conflict he feels and felt he was going too easy on him. I have a hard time getting a handle on the allegations of transphobia because I couldn't really tell what his actual opinions are versus what he was saying to be purposefully over the top. I can definitely understand why people would be offended though.
