I'm on board with Brett's idea and will agree The Smiths are terrible.
I know I'll get push back from Ryan but G.G. Allin is atrocious
GG Allin is dumb shock rock for dumb idiots.

Agreed. I don't understand how anyone beyond high school age can appreciate that garbage.

maybe it's just that I'm kinda young compared to come folks on here but, pearl jam. the most bland, uninteresting electric guitar elevator music if there ever was one. nickelback before nickelback. rock n' roll Kenny G.
outlaw country gg is real good.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB3uMjlBAWA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsLMdn7KYNM
and one of the earlier gg bands sounds a lot like the buzzcocks and is great.. if anyone hasn't heard this it's genuinely awesome
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCU9XjI2oaE
but as far as bands everyone agrees is terrible, is it worth mentioning the obvious? i.e. hoobastank/koRn/limp bizkit/phish/all nu metal and jam bands
i find pink floyd brutal.. and yeah, pearl jam is horrendous

Yeah I was trying to avoid the super obvious nu metal, bieber, those pop bands disney and nickelodeon put together. the humor has been drained out of making fun of those for the last 20 years.

I wouldn't use the words "real good" to describe it but it isn't as terrible as his other stuff. The older video Don't Talk to Me was better than I thought it would be when I hit play so that's something.
I like a lot of Pearl Jam from the 90s and I like Pink Floyd. I don't understand how someone who has taken acid or shrooms (especially acid) could not like Pink Floyd.
Korn had a couple of okay albums back in the day but I can't listen to most of it now without rolling my eyes. Blind is still a good song.
I am guilty of owning quite a few nu metal albums back in the day but I understand that most of it was terrible in retrospect. Having said that, I'd rather listen to Papa Roach than GG Allin

This is signature worthy
I'm sure that at this point, everyone has heard Pat the Bunny's rap album, right? That shit was hilariously bad.
somehow i overlooked such a presumable gem. is it worth listening to laugh at and shit? is it, tongue or cheek or whatever?
brings to mind the classic Dee Dee King album

100 Trash Bags of Weed, Breakfast All Day, and Gamers are all my jam. 100% unironically. "I'm getting higher than a vampire on fire!"
Here are my nominations:
Sublime
U2
Frank Turner and his dumb half assed Billy Bragg impression.
Unpopular opinion, but FRNTRNNR was pretty bad

Oh snap!
Dang this place has been half way active over the last week. Good thing I am here to ruin this thread too by proclaiming my love for Frank Turner.
Not only do I think he is better than Billy Bragg (who I also like), but I think he is one of the better singer song writers of the last 10 years and 15 years ago before he was a singer song writer, he was killing it with his band Million Dead. Which was some of the best politically charged emo/screamo of my high school years.

PS: I do hate pearl jam.

I hope it's hours of screamo telling me why taxes are literally slavery or whatever other stupid thing Frank Tuner, a grown man, believes.

I sleep okay at night defending Frank Turner, unlike some people in this thread backing up GG Allin every time someone mentions his name in vain.

I've come to realize that I am not a Fleetwood Mac person
For a second there I thought you were going to say can we all agree the mighty boosh is terrible. I was about to blow up my computer in protest.

there's this weird wave of pop music on the radio lately riding in on the coat tails of bro folk. they're all british for some reason. it's bro folk songwriting but with synthesizers instead of banjos. i've never had a job where i couldn't pick the music before haha
If this is the music I'm thinking of I like it haha

Sublime were awesome and no one will ever convince me otherwise. I never got into Frank Turner but hearing the bashing makes me want to check out how terrible it is.
Yeah, that's not what I've heard haha. Maybe I just like the straight up bro folk
yes for U2. whenever I hear them/about them, i think about that south park episode where Bono wasn't a person but was actually the largest piece of shit ever shat by a human being.
i dunno if this a joke or not. i also dunno if i'm late in regards to finding this but a buddy played this dude reh dogg for me the other day and it's unspeakably absurd

This is the first song that made me aware of bro folk (As far as I'm aware, I'd maybe consider this proto-bro-folk as they don't really follow the trope (mumford & sons/ lumineers) but seemed to have kicked the door open to folk-pop music again in the mainstream in the early 2010's) but as far as mainstream folk music goes, this one ^ is certainly listenable.
Yep, I like all of those.
